Who Knew?

Today wasn't looking like a good day. I was supposed to wake up early and meet my dad at some car-fixer-upper-place at 8 a.m. The Regal is in dire need of a check-up after Monday's incident. Accidently hit the snooze button one too many times this morn. Dad was not impressed to say the least, and told me to forget about it. We'd go tomorrow. Oops. Went to work at 9 a.m. You know it's going to be a looong day at work when: the phone system, computer connection, and prescription scanner are not working when you first arrive. Ughhh. Luckily, the official handy-dandy Walgreens technician paid us a visit and fixed us up. The past week or so, I've worked the pharmacy drive-thru ALOT. At first, I enjoyed the drive-thru. Kept me busy, on my toes, steady rhythm, etc. However. The people who have the most complicated, twisted, weird questions/situations/prescriptions/insurance ALWAYS manage to meander to the drive-thru. THEN get pissed when I ask them to come inside because they are holding up the (now) 5 car line (P.S. some lady HONKED at a guy yesterday for taking too long LOL). Ugh. Seriously. Either come inside or call ahead, goobs! Anyways, today was a day of drive-thru and filling for yours truly. Hell, some lady threw her credit card at me today!!! On my lunch break, the Subway gal was particularly nice. LoL, they recognize me now when I go in for my roast beef sub on wheat. She gave me a free SUPER SIZE drink. I know it's not that big a deal, but it was a nice little thing that made my afternoon. Life wasn't anymore pleasant back at the pharmacy after lunch. Half our stock wasn't put up. The computer kept informing us we were out of certain drugs, when in actuality, we had PLENTY. Angry customers tried to throw attitude. And the phone kept RINGING off the effing hook. Why can't my fellow coworkers pick up the phone? Instead, it rings about 4 times at one phone...then will ring another 4 times at a different phone...and keep switching phones until someone answers or hangs up. Plus, our sarcastic pharmacy manager was particularly short today. We were down a pharmacist. Made life difficult. I was in a pretty foul mood by the time 5 p.m. rolled around.

I left work and went to the Sprint place. Had to take my phone to get looked at. LoL for SOME reason, the # button stopped working. I know what you're thinking. Why does it matter if the # button does not work? Let me inform you. On my phone, the # button is the spacebar for my text messaging. I've spent the past week or so texting.my.friends.like.this.because.I.cant.use.the.spacebar. Oh, how I always dread visiting the Sprint place. It's usually packed with people waiting, and the technicians are NOT always helpful. However, today I was pleasantly suprised. Took my poor phone to the guy. He couldn't fix it...or order just one part that would fix it. Our only option: replacing the phone completely. And since my phone is an older model (right at a year old), Sprint woud have to replace my phone with a similar, comprable model. Lucky for me, Sprint did not have the similar, comprable model in stock...sooo the manager took it upon herself to upgrade my phone for free and order me a $300 phone instead. In the end, I paid $35 for a service charge. I get my new Sanyo phone Wednesday!!!

After Sprint, I decided to head towards Collegedale to pick up my umpiring paycheck from a few weeks back. Went to the new ballfriends. They look sooo nice!!! Good job, OYA. I hadn't seen any of the Ooltewah crowd in awhile so I walked around and chatted with umpires, coaches, parents, kids. The 9/10 yr olds were having a tourney tonight. I stayed and watched 2 games. Got some "comments" from a few coaches/dads. "Mmm. Miss Blue. Looking good tonight. I like you that much more out of uniform. You DO have some nice legs. Mmm hmm." Eek. Creepy old men. After the game, Tim and I decided to hit up Sonic for some free ice cream. His daughter, Allison, works there. Once we got there, I found out not only did I have one paycheck to pick up...hell, I had TWO!!! Almost $200 waiting on me. Whut whut!

After Sonic, I hit the road for home. While passing the mall, I remembered last year, a certain tanning bed stayed open til midnight during the summer. Decided to drive-by. Lucky for me, it was OPEN!!! F yeah. So yes, at 11 p.m., I tanned for 20 mins! LoL. I gotta catch up to Lindz and Kel somehow!!!

Who knew Sprint, Ooltewah Youth Association, Tim Moore, and Stop-n-Go Tan would lift my spirits up after such a crap-tacular day?!?
